Re: Leg Band help please
I would say the IZB could be the initials of the breeder and the 8782 just the ring number. The nest mates of your bird for instance could of been 8783, 8784 and so on. There are different types of codes. Most breeders here in Australia would have their initials. Then they could have a year eg. 11 then the ring number. So for instance my rings this year are WR11 01, WR11 02 and so on. Some breeders will just have a number that they add to each year. They may bye 100 rings (1 to 100) and when they are used the next lot they get will be 101 to 200. This way they dont waste rings. If you get the year printed on the rings and you dont use them then they are of no use the following year. I prefer to know what year the bird is by looking at its leg ring.
You need to try and fined out the breeder from those initials and they may be able to offer more information. This is not that easy unless its a well known breeder. Good Luck.

Re: Leg Band help please
Thank you so much !!
I contacted http://www.lmbirdlegbands.com/
and the said that band was sent to the USDA.
I called the USDA and someone researched and called me back.
The Band IZB 8782 was place on an African Ringneck Parakeet imported from Senegal March 2011.
So it does fit as, I was suspecting from my research Zomba was African not Indian.
The people I bought him from lied to me, but I do believe I saved him from a bad situation. $70 I think was worth it.
He is still terrified of my hands, but he will cluck at me if I put my face up to his cage.
So again thanks !
