this is my first post and i hope i get lots of help, since i've read other posts here and I am glad you are helpful

Well, my problem is that I have a Yellow IRN 3.5 years old (I found him lost and in pain when he was 6 months old and I saved him and he is really grateful to me since) and I bought 4 months ago a Blue IRN which I assumed is 2 years and something more (since the petshop told me is ready to breed), and they just do not lay eggs.
I spy on my Yellow IRN and I can see him sometimes "dancing" to the female with a "being proud" stand and making his wings like "heart"

Could someone explain to me why at the last point, when they acctually are going to mate together, the female bites?
Even though the female at start was chasing the male around the cage

They do not lay eggs because of the season? Is my female too young?
Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance!
Peter
P.S: Here in Cyprus the weather just started to getting cold. I mean we have at least 14 Celcius at night
