Alexanderine Sounds......

Post by thebends2000 »

My alexandrine usually makes two sounds, a loud screech, and a little chirp. But occasionally, and rarely, she makes these different almost singing, whining sounds. They sounds very nice actually but do any of you know what these sounds are and why she makes them?? She doesn't say any words or mimic any sounds.

Parrots tend to do this when happy, or calling you for attention.
This isnt a bad thing its natural.

Same. Ours make little noises like this while they're preening, eating, sitting on a perch happily in the sun, playing with a toy, etc. Ours don't normally do it for attention. They're usually happily occupied with themselves.

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
