Pellet size?

Hi there,

I'll be feeding my ringneck Zupreem pellets, as the staple diet. Naturally, I'll also be feeding her fruit, snacks, and veggies, too. My question is, which size pellets are most appropriate for IRNs? Cockatiel, or Conure? The pellet size is significantly different. The cockatiel pellets are pretty small, and the conure pellets are about the size of jelly beans.

You've likely thought of this already, but just in case the "consumer" has their own opinion on the subject, rather than investing in a larger bag of pellets of one size or the other, you might want to buy a smaller bag of each size and see if your bird shows a preference.
My bird gets the "Cockatiel" size Zupreem pellets, which has two shapes that both let her hold some pellets in her foot and eat them that way (which is how she eat the Roudybush Minis I give her every now and then), as well as loading a few of the smaller round ones in her beak and bringing them over to the water dish to dunk them before she eats. She doesn't eat much at once, so the smaller sizes seem okay for her.

Mine is so greedy, he eats any size but try different sizes in small bags to see which one your prefers. With my IRN put it in his bowl and he will come

I think this comes down to a waste issue. My IRN can eat the larger size, he holds his pellets and drops waste back into his dish (he isn't clean, he just doesn't waste food, the pig...). But my sister's IRN has to use the cockatiel size or he wastes practically all of it. I think this depends on your bird.
