Well i got my Irn today, must say im a little excited about it, havent come up with a name yet, going to see if it has any quirks, heres a few pics of him / her ,
Thanks everyone for your replies, day 2 all is well, fid is about 3 weeks old and doesnt seem to eat a lot of formula but the crop is extended and i dont want to force too much food, im feeding about 4 - 6 times a day from a spoon, im a bit hesitant to syringe feed as im worried about maybe pushing too much food in or too fast, fid is squakey when i pick it up but its only its 2nd day from the nest and by itself so i guess its still adjusting and a bit frightened with all the change,
I guess you can never really handle them too much if you want to tame them. I will keep udates coming, thanks everyone for a warm welcome to this great site.
I posted a few pics the other week but they must have got lost in the attack on the site, so heres a few more
Squeak has been having a busy week, we have learnt to fly in that time all though a bit un coordinated we are getting better lol , we have learnt to eat seed and pellets on our own and are becoming a very independant little bird lol, heres a few more pics of squeak

Hi Deano.
I know this post is old however i am having the same issue with my new birds .. one of them has a normal crop it would shrink in size just fine while the other has a very slow shrinking crop. i am also afraid of feeding it .. its always the one wanting more food then its brother...
