Well Gigi bird is starting to molt. Since this is his first molt since we've had him, I was wondering how cranky IRNs get when they are molting. I know some breeds of birds get down right nasty when molting. Others (like my crow) get very sooky and needy. And I know it can vary depending on the personality of the bird, but I was just curious as to what everyone's experience was with a molting IRN.
Thanks.

I think it depends on your birds personality. I've heard some can be very cranky and snappy too. But Jibby gets very needy and sooky.. hes like a velcro bird.. I cant get him off me.. he does this thing where he insists on pushing his head up my nostrils and belly against my mouth.. I think he likes warm breath but he makes me sneeze with all that extra 'birdy dandruff'. I'll have him on my shoulder and he'll lean over or climb under my chin to stick his head up my nose lol.
He does this just before and through summer when he has his pre summer moult. I don't see why he wants to get 'warm' in summer. Its hot enough without a hot birdie smothering your face!
