Havnt heard if they are ok or not. Anyone know? Theyre a bit like a tomatoe but sweet in flavour.
*EDIT* Sorry, Ive heard they are not to be given, then then I've heard otherwise. Ive seen a few birdy recipes with persimmons in it, but have seen some lists of what not to feed and persimmons are on it.

I have given persimmons to my birds, but I like them too much to share very often (my friends with a tree live too far away)! If you leave them a while, they will continue to ripen and turn into this lovely sweet mush that the fids adore
Excellent! Well, they scoffed down half a persimmon and wanted more! I love them too. Had my first one a few months ago, mum got me hooked on them. Yum! Went to the local shopping centre and found a green grocer that sells the weirdest fruits and vegies, that I'd never even heard of before. We do live in a quite ethnic community, which is great, so many cultures, so many ethnic food shops!
As i live with my mum again at teh moment, Amazon gets spoilted to the T, Mum has figs growing outside and thought she woudl give Amazon one, well he started at it and played with it thn because it was on his kabab stick he thought of food and gave it a go and wow what did i know he ate the whole thing leaving the massive pip behind and playing with it on the bottom of his cage.
I guess new and interesting fruits get the better of them
