Our bird BLUEY

Post by bluey »

Hi everyone we found this site recently as we have an IRN. Bluey is 18 months old and blue (obviously by the name we arent very original). We live in Brisbane Australia. Blue has just molted and his ring has just appeared so we assume he is a boy. He makes numerous whistles that he has copied from us and he says hello but not 100% clearly. He is still naugthy on occasions still bites sometimes and he loves the buttons on our remote controls but he knows that they are a no no. His favourite foods are grapes, apple and carrot!

Hi

Welcome to Bluey and yourself. I have a green ringneck, and his name I Paulie. I don't know, whether he's male or female. He's nearly 5 months old.

I also live in Australia - Ipswich area west of Brisbane.
Cheers

yup, definitely a boy!
I've got an 11 week old blue as well - but Bluey a good Oz name heh heh. Mine is Ziggy (and he's currently eating a piece of toast out of my hand).
Do you normally not clip Bluey's wings? Or is it just cos he's had a moult?
Waiting that extra few days is what led to my Max taking off with a fright.
Good luck - great birds!
