flight suit

Post by alana8819 »

hey cookies flight feathers have grown back he has been flying into everything i am getting his wings clipped because i dont want him to fly into the fan or rat traps would it be a good idea to get a flight suit so he can have his little flies without flying into anything that could hurt him?

A flight suit will not prevent him from flying into windows or fans. If the bird has not been trained to wear one when he was young I don't think he will let you put it on him now without a fight. Wing clipping and then a flight suit is defeating your purpose is it not?

I agree with Donna. They arent huge fans of flight suits unless you get them used to it from a baby. You might find Cookie will learn to better his 'landings' in time. For now, I'd clip and keep an eye out for danger like the fans, traps..

I say clip. I am always clipping from now on I learned my lesson the hard way when Maya flew out the door. I still look up in the tree tops for her. I wouldn't take any chances.
