Wasas confused

Post by WasasMum »

My little darling bird Wasa seems to be confused if he/ she is a boy or a girl.
Wasa so sweetly clucks like a girl and has all female kind of behaviour when getting smooches, but has recently started doing the male trance dance and trying to feed my boyfriend and I.
HOW BLOODY CONFUSING!!!!!!

 They fool us all! Maybe Wasa learned behaviours of another IRN. Maybe as a baby?

My boy was very feminine himself... just short of clucking. And we all here had decided he was a girl but he and I are so close I just *knew* he was a boy. Your gut is almost as good as a DNA test from what *I* have experienced... we all just seem to know. Our guts tell us.

Everytime I would take him to the breeders to get clipped and trimmed (new to birds then, do it myself now of course), the breeder would sex him pelvicly and once again assure me 'Baby is a GIRL, get over it... no ring ever. But I didnt care about the ring, didnt care what sex he was. I just wanted desperately to just KNOW!

He also DNA'ed as a female so I dont know about the whole DNA thing.
Well, he has a ring now and never does anything female anymore. He is 2.5. I too had him since he was about 6 weeks old.
