We are hand feeding our first Lutino Indian Ringneck babies and it seems they are taking much longer to "get excited" about the feeding process. I have hand fed birds for many years however these are my first ringnecks. Out of a clutch of four we are feeding the two oldest currently and having trouble getting them to go along with it. We should be pulling the others any day now and would like the two older onces to be doing well before we do.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Hand Feeding Ringnecks

I had to pull my two IRN´s at the age of 5 weeks and handfeed them. The hen was beginning to pluck the poor chicks so I had no alternativ but pulling them.
I had another more experienced breeder who showed my what to do and all. It was not so easy beeing the first time fore me and the IRN already reaching the age of 5 weeks.
But the outcome was good
two wonderful green baby boys.
They did not have that BIG appetite, but I guess they had what they needed because they grow and become just fine.
