Hay i was wondering my indian ring neck has just one day out of the blue started talking i was so shocked i have no idea if boy or girl yet it will be a year in april 2007 mine started saying good baby and ok thats three words all at once i just woke up oe morning and mine started saying this when i took it out of cage. Also been trying to say something else but cant quite understand yet i have tried to video tape it on my digital camera but mine shuts up then every time i try ill keep trying. Is this normal i new they can be good memikers but just all like that no practiceing saying first just comes out saying it.Also does one sex tend to talk more then the other sex because there has been no signs of what sex it could be yet but now mine is just getting very vocal and trying to talk and say things more and more.

No sex is a better talker, its really all up to the bird itself. Some are great talkers some are not. I think IRNs are the best talkers. They speak with such clarety.
I wish my Gilbert could talk 'properly' but he just never has 'really spoken' a word. He mumbles and jumbles up words. Says a few words 'CHICKEE!' and 'YEH YEH YEH' others are hard to make out if you havnt been around him for 6 years like me. I know he says 'What cha doin CHICKEE?' 'hellooo' and 'I love you' but he jumbles in other words ontop of what hes saying.

I get sick of the screaming quickly but never the chattering and talking. Love it!
