new to the group

Post by faerywing »

Hi everyone,

I just got an IRN about 3 weeks ago. It's the first bird I've ever had--I own a chow chow named Storm, and a Syrian hamster named Gandalf. I named my IRN Logan (had to get an X-Men reference in there).

I had thought about getting a bird for several years, but had not found the right bird. My friend Sheila works at a bird store nearby, and got my to come check it out. She was trying to talk me into getting a caique at first. When I walked to the back of the store, I saw the cage with the IRNs. There were 2 albinos, and this wonderful little pastel blue bird looking up at me. After him perching on my husband and I for about 30 minutes, I knew I had to bring him home. Logan came home with me a week later. Logan turns 7 months old this week, and he's a darling.

I'll post a picture of him when I can!

Later,
Andie

Welcome! Your love for your new one will only grow with time (with a little friendly advice for the rought patches, of course).

Logan must be a sweetie, to pursuade you from a caique, and I'm sure he's all the better for it. ^_~

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay

From the pictures that I've seen, he does look a lot like Nila! I am trying to get some good shots, but the light in my house hasn't been so good. I am picky about photos--I hate flash and my digital likes to use flash whether I want to or not. It's manual, and I need to find out how to shut it off!
