Am I pathetic or what.....

Post by jen5239 »

I have framed pictures of my fids on the cabinet behind my desk. So anytime anyone asks about them I just start talking and talking and talking. I finally notice that the person who's ear I'm bending their eyes are beginning to glaze over. I don't even realize I'm doing it but I just ramble on and on like a parent fussing about their children. How funny is that? I'm so patheticly in love with my fids!

DITTO!!!

Yea I printed a pic of Baby on our color printer at work and pinned it up at my desk and people walk by and comment. Sometimes I go into bragging about her if I have time to chat (which, I mean, always make time for ) I have gone into long conversations about goldfish and bettas, though because people know I'm the office animal lover! People even bring me their unwanted tropicals! Soon the word will get out that I am learning about parrots as well! Uh oh!

That's a great idea to frame the pics! I think I'll do that with my dog's pic too!

Missi, I have the framed picture of my pooch on my desk. But only I can see that one. I've got the framed pics of my fids out where all can see. I too am known as the office animal lover. I go so far as to pick spiders up and take them outside if they're in the office. I get mad if they try to kill them. What's the point? Why kill it? It's done nothing to you. And the last job I had there was a mouse in the building and I caught it and took it out so no one would hurt it. I really am an animal lover. Maybe in my past life I was an abused animal and that's why I'm so passionate about this!

Girl me too! I think that all the time. I need to just stop eating meat all together and I don't do it. But the way I feel about animals I really should.

Good for you! Yea, I capture the house geckos when they get in the office and take them down the elevator and out the door and place them on a tree. They're usually really dehydrated and malnourished :(

Exactly same here! However, I can't eat veggies! I stick them in my mouth and regretfully chew...but I can't get myself to swallow them! I swear it all must be in my head! Plus I really enjoy burgers, steaks, sausage pizza, chicken fingers...oh you guys get the point! I wish meat was just never made out of animals!!!!!
