Potentally dangerous find

Post by elaine »

Oh no, today I have made a potentially financially devastating discovery. A new pet store has open up right near my house - I could walk !!! And to make it worse all they sell are birds. And YES they have cages and cages of ringnecks too. He also is expanding into all the other stuff like food, toys, cages and other products needed to care for your birds. I spent over half an hour in there today, didn't know they'd be open just thought I'd drive past to see what its like - big mistake. Anyway I didn't buy anything but I WILL be back. I had to laugh also cos my baby is now 7 months old and has grown alot but I didn't realise how much more he had to grow after seeing all those beautiful adults. Well lets see how much self control I can muster up???

Oh it is going to be very hard. As I said I went just to find it and was without any money so i was safe. But the worst thing is I can walk there. And its just Birds - of all kinds.

Funnily enough Brian, my son (who loves birds also and has a budgie) has just turned 15 and is looking for an after school job. He asked the guy but as he has only just opened the store he has family helping out till it gets more known so we were told to ask in about a month or so. I told my son that he has to go to the shop at least once a week to keep himself known.

The store where I adopted Merlin from has new babies coming in every 3 weeks right now as they ae opening a new location in a different city so they are trying to get ahead of the game...
4 IRN lutinos, green cheek conures, plum head (parakeet I think), goffin cockatoo, 3 alexandrians...that's just this week!!!

The poor guys hand feeding them look like new dads from the lack of sleep

Going back today to see what there is and of course buy a new toy for Merlin.
