Any suggestions for names.. I want something, fun and cheeky, coz s/he is one feisty little ball of energy, reminds me very much of the personality of a lorikeet.

And what a lock beak (lockjaw) this little darlin has. They grab a hold and don't! let go.. that little eye blinking up at me like .. I can outwait you anyday lady .. lol .. s/he is too damn cute I love him/her.

I have had alot of names run by me , but I haven't settle on one yet. I do however like Jasper (coz of the lime green side s/he has to him/her). Just not sure.. Please ! anyone .. throw a few more cute but naughty names my way so I can finally settle on one.

Looks like a very cheeky fellow! Hmmm...a name...those are so hard to come up with. I'll think about it.

How funny! I was just thinking "Cheeky" as a name too. Angie did I miss something? Did you get a new bird?? Is it a lovebird? How freakin' cute. Keep pics coming.

Jen

Jaz has stuck .. Jasper .. Jaz for short .. or jazzy for cutesy .. cheeky is way too cute a name for this little fiesty fid.

Yep Jen.. My kids and hubby surprised me with a mummies day present, a pastel blue masked lovebird. He is soooo cute and they are so wonderful to do it .. they have kept him hidden at a friends house for a few weeks now.

Angie,
Jaz is darling! That's the next bird I want to get, a lovie! I've fallen head over heels in love with Audi and now I want one. But John says that won't happen for at least another 30 years. Heck, by then I'll be too old to take care of it. Tee hee! We couldn't put another pet in our house anyway, it'd probalby explode. Congrats! And Happy Mother's Day! How cool a present and surprise was Jaz! What a great family!

Hugs,
Jen

I wasn't worried about the messy clip, it just looked like the secondaries were cut. But Jaz is looking great now.
Lovebirds are great and you will love the antics they get up to

you are not kidding Jeremy .. he is full on .. he has investigated nearly every nook and cranny of the whole house. Nothing like any of the birds I have had so far. You cannot keep up with where he is at .. its actually a bit of a worry .. I am so scared I am going to loose the inquisitive little bugga down behind something one day.

The other birds are in awe.. they just can't come to grips with little jazzy hopping on into their cage and sitting with them for a second then climbing the whole round of their cage .. then off again to the next one.

I reckon he has sample every food dish, every water tray, ever perch , every cage and checked out every bird in the house.

They climb like you have no idea and run along the floor with their heads down like little steam trains.. lol .. he is just a bundle of mass energy and cute as a button.

I have already stopped him from biting. Coz he was a little fiesty with the bites to begin with.. I just wore them and gave no reaction what so ever and kept handling him and now he just finds it all too tiring to bite me. He just goes with the handling (goes with the flow). 2 days and its like he has run the place forever.

 Jen .. you have no idea what you are in for if you get yourself a lovie .. no relaxing with this little treasure around.
