hello i am wondering if it is possible that a Indian Ring Neck can get its black ring at a yr old ... ? i am looking into another indian ring neck but..she said that it bites and talks is only a yr old and has a full black ring and red line around it? so i was wondering if i should get it? she wants 220....

i would say its probably older.and you might be able to get a nice irn for that price that doesnt bite.where are you from? but i would definately try to find a nice baby.

Nice to see you asking questions before diving into getting another one of these beauties.

I too would suggest you find a young handraised baby, if you can. Its alot of hard work with an older bird, I know, kai was 11 months when I brought him home, he has turned out to be a wonderful bird, but alot of hard work and time goes into it. Jordan was a handraised baby and he still needs lots of attention but he is much more cuddly and affectionate than kai.

If you are up for it , go for it, its very rewarding when you see progress.

The ring won't usually come in till about 2 years. I haven't seen or heard of a ring coming in at 12 months.
