sigh! yep your bird is an IRN alright.. lol .. being funny sorry.

I have holes in my shirts, in the bottom of my pants. I have holes in table clothes, anything that is in reach. Cane baskets get totally dimolished and spread around the house.

Just about anything they get their beaks on they will tear to shreds, its all in the nature of the bird I'm affraid.

Be glad you don't have a gallah !

Try preoccupying him with paddle pop sticks. That will keep him going for about an hour as he shreds it up! Chook carries his stick around while sitting on my shoulder and he shreds it up and drops it everywhere BUT its easier to pick up the slivers of wood than buying new clothes and stuff!

I second that Jade, about the paddle pop sticks. My Smokey gets them and keeps him occupied for hours. Yesterday when keeping my company at the computer he attacked my calculator - who needs the square root button anyway !

yep .. I been giving my fids icypole sticks since I can remember. cept nobody on the boards knew what an icypole stick was , I think the americans call them popcicles.

I also have now made an old shirt into an activity shirt. Sown all kinds of things onto it. buttons .. bits of rope .. beads .. bells.. what ever they like to chew at. The birds love it and its stops them biting at my hair and good clothes. Thanks for the great! idea Neo !
