species question

i met a guy at a pet shop who says he bought and sold a MEXICAN RINGNECK i told him theres no such thing. he described it and sounded exactly like a blue irn to me. iv never heard/seen about one before do you know if there is such thing as a MEXICAN RINGNECK? id sure like to know

this guy isnt as knowledgable about birds. when i showed him bubba he couldnt believe his eyes he didnt even know there were hybrid macaws like bubba. iv shown/told him species hes never even heard of along with lots of care faqs. i told him it was probubly a blue irn but he said the lady who gave it to him called it a mexican ringneck? :shock: :?

The guy's an idiot! In Oz we have Mallee ringneck and 28 parrots. These are completely different from IRNs. I did a google search 2 back myself up. Nothing in images

me again. mexican conures (east and west) is about as close as I came.

I know of an African Ringneck which has a darker beak .. but here is some more info on the subspecies

There are tons of other kinds of ringnecks but none by the name "mexican"

I found that when I was doing this bit of research. Bird - snake. BIG difference. Thanks for giving me a quest Birdman. Any others can be referred 2 me.

thats what i thought i will tell this guy that he was mistaken for an irn. and maybe the person he got it from got it from mexico mexico or something
