i know mikaela would be if she lived here in oz. Tame young cockatoo, 1 year old, talks, friendly, kisses, dances, like a little toddler. He is very kind and loving and loves to sit on your shoulder and nibble your ear and hair and groom you. Sadly it is a regreattable sale i have to give him away, i wouldnt sell him as i just want him to go to a loving family who will look after him and give him a lot of time and love. I work full time and dont have the time to give him attention. I paid $560 for him as a baby and he was bred in captivity. Now he is for free to a secure loving perminant home. Please only contact me if you are sure you want to have a cocky for the rest of your life, they get really old. 18+ please only, unless you have your parents permission, then i would need to talk to them please. He loves fresh fruits and gets apples, pears, carrots, toast, pasts, nuts, seeds, grass every day he is spoilt and needs to continue to be spoilt. He will kiss you a million thank you's.

I'd love to take him but I wouldn't know how to get him. I'm outside of Brisbane, kind of halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, but further back. Let me know if no one nearby wants him.

I wonder how I could find out how much it would cost to ship it here.

Would the journey be too far? Too strenuous? Cruel?

My dream come true. I am a good parront, would be so proud to have it.

If I lived on the continent I would walk over hot coals both ways barefooted uphill to get it. But, the swimming over I cant do. Im clumsy in water.

I would water it on the way back with my own saliva.

*wallers around in the floor*

This is the only thing (since being poor and growing up and not being poor) I have wanted and not had. I dont know why I dont go buy one. There must be a reason so I dont push it.

I think it is because of their noise level, to be honest. I dont need anything waking these youngens up when sleeping or to give the ol'man more things to complain about.

Bout time to trade him in on a newer model *opens the personals*

I love Kangaroos soooo much, welp thats until Granny said 'You wouldnt love that thing after it kicked your brains out'. Not like I can have one so she could have let me have my dream. No fairy tales around Granny... she was direct and to the point. Wish I could be more like that. tee hee

She always did have a savy way with words.

LOL - you love roos!!!! My father is a pro roo shooter!!!! Farmers pay him $ to go and shoot the mobs that come through and destroy their crops and fences. Heaps of roos around my place too - but not allowed to be shot because we aren't producers of any crops. Not that i want to shoot a roo....

Also, pet shops sell dried roo tails for dogs to chew on. We are the only nation where we can legally kill (and eat if you want) our national emblems!!

Well I went up to Buccan Caves , climbed the rocky hillside to the top where the gums were and the roo's were sunbaking. I quietly crawled up amongst them and lay on ones belly and sunbaked with them. They were very accepting of me. Hubby thought I was a lunatic, but took pictures anyway, they are buried in the last 15 years of life somewhere. Yep I guess I am a bit of a nut, I am a nut for proving you can gain acceptance from most wild animals so long as you play it their way when you are in their habitat. Somehow its so much more rewarding if a creature accepts you that normally wouldn't.

Yep, cuz I'd be trying to pet it and it would be kicking me Farris Buellar style right uppside my head.

And I'd still try to pet it. Can you believe Im not a member of PETA or any other organization? I cant. Something to think about.

Where in Melbourne is this little darling. I would also consider it. I saw the funniest sight today. As we know here in Australia, all tradesmen take their dogs to work with them, I saw on the back of a ute a cage with a cockatoo in it. The cage was built into the ute!!!! The owner was obviously in the shop but all you could hear, very very clearly was "Jaaaack, hurry up, Jaaaaack, hurry up" It was very funny, but I didn't have time to wait to see if cockatoo stopped the yelling when the owner returned.
