Colour: violet, deep blue (is there a slight difference with the shade compared to the one next to it or my imagination?), turqblue, deep violet, deep violet. Last two are more difficult to pick out in the photo and I'm assuming they are siblings. But the second to right looks slightly more saturated, so maybe I should go with cobalt violet.
Sex: male, male, female, male (given), female (not too sure from photo).

TurqBlue ? Very interesting you said that but No, nor Indigo or Emerald.

I'll eliminate the one behind the ring as it is a bad pic of it, although if there was more light Johan would have picked it.

Moral of the game : IDing from photos can be tricky even when reference birds are in the pics.
Pics were taken in art mode with Olympus PEN-E3 enhancing the colors.

First 1 is not a violet blue!

You mean the one that calls a violet green: dark green violet?

because that's where she's at. no offence ... many breeders won't/can't accept change/new; like Indigo etc.

Don't know yet.

No visual parblue in the parents and both mature.
& No Blue in the pic (I only have a single blue held back /chf from this season.)

Ben not sure if there is a visual difference between deep blue and dark blue Im thinking not even if they are side by side , Do you know or have you seen a comparison between deep and dark blue ? I know you can tell in DF but not sure if you can in SF

They are not related.

3rd bird from left: Both parents carries the Deep Blue
Yes, you can ID an sf deep blue V dark blue
You can not see this green in normal lighting conditions/naked eye.

These birds are young and their phenotype will change considerably till maturity.

Is that a DF Deep blue and a SF Deep blue (Saphire ?? Can't tell if Saphire at that age) but when you say these birds will change considerably over time I'm guessing one or both birds in the previous pic could be Saphire

Keep in mind that these birds are a few months old, some new combinations i can not yet ID for certain till later.
At this stage i label these birds as:
bird1: df deep blue (not 100% yet - i have no reference bird )
bird2: sf deep blue
bird3: deep blue
bird4: sl dom. edged violet blue
bird 5: yeah... I didn't give it much thought as yet, i'll let it color up properly.

If you just posted the first pic I would have said do a DNA it looks like a cock bird , but then I looked at the second pic and I would say your bird is a hen

You read my mind perfectly!

Ben, from the first pic I thought that bird is a cock and you should do the DNA sexing again. Then I scrolled down to the second pic and thought, "hang on, that's a hen."

Unlike Gratz who will stick to a hen, I'd say do the DNA again. I'm in two minds, as the left and right sides of the bird tells a different story. Since it has been sexed, I'd lean to hen, but with some small doubt.

My thoughts are the same as Johan's.

I threw in the blue pied's cage the emerald and another hen and the pied hen was chasing the emerald but not the other hen.
3 birds in that cage all up.
Ended up moving the blue pied to another cage to make peace.
Maybe she was just jealous of her fluorescence brilliance
