my irns hatched their first egg lastnight Very Happy the female (echo is her name) is uber crazy now.
if she hears the cage door open she turns into a suicide bomber she attacked my hand when i stuck it in to tie on a new mineral block and when i pulled my hand out of her way she attacked the mineral block tore it off droped it to the floor and then pushed it to the other side of the cage Rolling Eyes
but when i walk away and watch. both birds spend most of the time in the box with the male only leaving to eat/drink and he goes back in Smile
so it looks like a good start to me Exclamation

Congrats! Aren't baby chicks sooo cute! Ah I remember that feeling of over joy when their tiny little beaks were pounding away at the shell. I bred tiels so when they hatched they were no bigger than a bumble bee. But gosh they were cute... 
Pi (the female) would turn into a complete b**ch when she laid eggs. Araby ( the male) was hand fed but whenever there was babies he would try for the 'bite of death' too. I sometimes miss hearing those tiny squeaks...
