Breeding Lutino IRNs?
Is is ok to breed 2 Lutino IRNs together? I recently bought a pair that was proven with previous mates and the person re-paired these 2 together. They aren't proven, what would happen if I kept them paired together? Weak chicks? Deformities? I really don't want anything bad to happen so don't mind p...

Green Split to Blue Question
I have a pair of IRNs, the male is a grey green and the female is a green who I was told was split to blue. I was talking to a breeder who when I told her about the female being split to blue told me that wasn't possible. Any info on this? I want to learn the genetics behind these awesome birds so a...

Ok, thanks! Is grey green a more common color? What would a handtame/handfed baby go for?

IRN Baby Pics, Normal greens or something different?
My first ever IRN pair hatched out 3 babies beginning of January, are these normal greens or something different? 2 looked like normal greens to me and the 3rd looked olive colored. Thoughts? Also was wondering if my pair might nest again yet or usually just 1 clutch per season? Thanks! http://i1264...

Re: need some breeding info
I am in Minnesota, US and my pair that I bought in November now have 3 eggs in their nestbox. I was told that breeding season for my area would be starting in February and going till June. Not sure if the season would be the same for you or not. Hope this helps and good luck!

Quaker Parakeet Breeding Season?
I bought a proven pair of quakers last fall, this past spring they had 1 clutch of 4 very cute babies. When I bought this pair the lady said that they breed all year round. However my pair (Andy and Ellie) hasn't shown any more interest in breeding. I haven't moved them and nothing has changed so I ...

What type of nestbox?
I bought a pair of Indian Ringnecks this afternoon, they are a breeding pair and I was wondering if others had found that their pairs like a certain type of box better than others? Any input on what you have had success with is much appreciated as I am new to these guys. Also if anyone knows when th...

Mutation Question
I am new to Indian ringnecks and am considering buying a young pair. This pair is green but the man said that 1 of them is split to blue. I am terrible at genetics and am wondering if there would be any possibility of blue or different colored babies or would they just have green? Anyway, these bird...
