I use Exact formula. It's pretty popular and easy to find.

Intesnse dislike of light? 4 week Baby
Hi all! This is my second baby Indian Ringneck. I am not raising them to breed (just wanted that to be known). When I had my first baby, Blizzard, all went well and now he is a beautiful 9 month old, talkative troublemaker. But I cannot seem to remember how I did some things! I have done a lot of re...

Do Feather Colors Say Anything About Personality?
Hi all! I am not breeding and perhaps this is in the wrong forum. I heard it said somewhere that the color of the feathers may be an indication of the personality of the bird you are getting. To clarify, I heard that Green and Grey IRN's tend to be more wild in nature; tend to have a tougher bluffin...

Re: Crazy Story... Harsh Reprocussions.. Pls Help me guys!
I'll also add that when I get home, they both get very excited. They will cry out for me and I open the cage and call out "Hi my love!" and they will crawl over me looking for treats, Blizzard wants his kisses. If I put them on the floor, they both trail behind me as I walk around the hous...

Crazy Story... Harsh Reprocussions.. Pls Help me guys!
Hi Everyone! I have been on this board for a while. My baby Ringnecks are now a whole 6 months old. I know they may be going through bluffing, so it's not necessary for me to read up any more on this -- this is a whole different behavior entirely. We took the babies out on a hike a month back. Blizz...

Thank you for responding!
Yea I understand that now. One of our babies, Blizzard will sit through any petting session, Beau seems to be the more "wild" of the two. If anything, I will simply take out my cuddling frustrations on Blizzard
Dried raspberries?! Thanks for that one!

Will he EVER want me to pet him again?!
My baby shows he loves me, he's always on my shoulder and sits with me through all of my daily activities. When I study, he sleeps on my shoulder, and he loves to sleep with his beak in the crook of my nose or on my cheek. But he doesn't like being pet at all! Is this just his personality or is this...

Re: Does anyone else have a sleep-talking ringneck?
Hi Tobiloh, that head bobbing/ squeaky noise behaviour you see at the end of the video is what they do as babies, to let older members of the flock know not to pick on them as they are young. He stopped doing it at around 6 to 7 months of age :) Stopped at 6 to 7 months?! Beau is only two months an...

Re: Arching back and mewing? What's this?
Thank you all for your comments! Beau is always very well fed. No worries about that! He will stop accepting food after a while and is actually bigger than his brother (we have two IRNs from the same clutch). I was hoping this was a good behavior.. because it was so pleasant. Now that behaviour has ...

Hi! I hand raised my baby, Beau, since he was 3 weeks old. He is now two months. Up until about a week ago, he was such a sweet baby, he and I would spend hours watching TV together, him snuggled against my cheek fast asleep, grinding his beak. Now, he wont even let me pet him! When I put him on my ...

Two Babies: Beau and Blizzard! Cute video
Hello everyone! A few weeks ago, hubby and I got two baby Ringnecks at 3 weeks old. They are now precious 9 week old juveniles! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeXK5QKfoAo Turns out that Beau likes money haha -- This is a great forum. Love to read up on what you all say to make sure my two babies are...

Re: New here and need help! please
Congrats on your new baby! For the foot part, she should be fine if she's putting it down every now and again. Poor babies always have to be on their feet, so they tend to rest one foot by keeping it close to their body. My baby, Beau will clench his hand and hold it mid-air and look like he is medi...

Re: Does anyone else have a sleep-talking ringneck?
Hi Redzone, What a precious baby you have! I was wondering, you see at the end, how baby arches his back and starts calling out softly? What /is/ that? my Beau does that /all/ the time when I am with him and I'm worried that it means he wants to be left alone? Just the other day Beau started this &q...

Arching back and mewing? What's this?
Hi! Thank you for viewing this post. I posted earlier but it seems I did not ask the right question. Beau will arch his back and sit on my chest with his mouth open and will "mew" incessantly! I pet him and he calms but will still mew.
Is this normal? Is he happy? Upset?

Re: could this be stress???
Please bring them to the vet. For them to lose all tail feathers is very concerning. Also, it would be best if you started with tamed ringnecks before getting into breeding as it can be very complicated. You may find that if your female IRN does breed with your male IRN, she could become aggressive ...

How old is your baby ? Is your baby Weaned now ? In case if you are in the weaning stages, please help me with how you bridge the gap between hand-feeding and weaning ? Hi Suji! Congrats to have a beautiful baby Jojo! Indian Ringnecks are great eaters and I find that they are amazingly easy to wean...

Re: Is my baby happy?! Concerned
Hi Ellie! I totally don't mind it because it is a soft mew. I hand raised Beau since he was 3 weeks and when I get home, Beau will climb to the front of the cage and knock his beak softly against the cage and will mew. Just want my Baby Beau to be happy. I love how he mews until he falls asleep as I...

Is my baby happy?! Concerned
I'll be holding Baby Beau, he will cuddle up close to under my chin and just sit there with his mouth open, constantly mewing. This is after he eats too! And he will start falling asleep, and he will get quiet when I put my nose by his beak as he falls asleep, but as I hold him for an hour or too (a...

Concerned I might have an Alex/Indian Hybrid Baby. Help?
Hi all! Now, whether Beau and Blizzard are hybrids or not -- I am absolutely committed! I just wonder how big they may get (as I know there is a strict difference in size and a minor difference in temperament). I am slightly concerned that I may have gotten Alexandrine/Indian Ring Neck first generat...

Wow, first off -- I must absolutely Thank You for such an up-dated and informative forum. You've certainly provided a diamond in the rough! My partner and I have acquired two baby Ringnecks (at 3 weeks) They are now 4 1/2 weeks old and seem to be tiring of formula. Is it safe to provide fruits groun...
