Missi - he is gorgeous and looks very pretty in the pictures. Don't worry as he gets used to things he will settle down some. It sounds like he had a real big change going from a small tank with one perch to a nice big cage with toys and lots of perches. After he gets more used to things - when you ...

Beautiful little girl. I love the third and fourth pics of her. She looks a lot like my girl Rebel especially with the eye pin - she has it down pat. From the posturing in the fourth picture - I would say definite female especially if she was making any noise while you were petting her. Females are ...

Plumheads definately rock, the best of all mutations, imo, gorgeous isnt a good enough word for them. Can you tell us about their personality and temperments or are they just like any other ringie? Sorry Mik - I saw this post of yours, but have been so busy and sick that I had not replied to it. Pl...

You also don't want to clip all the feathers like was done before. I would not do more than say the outermost 5 on each side and see how that works. You could also do a modified clip and not clip all the way to the secondaries. That should help protect any blood feathers still growing in. They may s...

Gwennie - he does look great so I definitely wouldn't worry too much if he did not eat pellets. As long as you still give him a varied diet with fruits and veggies he should be ok. I think that IRNs tend to eat some seeds in the wild anyway since they are known for destroying crops in the wild. I ha...

I have seen the kitchen sink recipe and it does look like a lot, so if I do something close to that I will just make it in smaller quantities - that way if they don't like it then I won't have wasted so much. Not that my guys are picky - they like food. Does anybody else's ringies really like fruit?...

Hey Jeremy - can you post a pic of that color or a link if you have one? I would also like to see what the silver looks like next to the grey. My ringnecks do somethings together and some they don't. My Derbyan used to be ready to go to bed at 9 pm every night - now not so much. I have noticed that a lot of times when out they take naps at the same time and occassionally I have seen them preen at the same time, but not always. They will al...

I have ...lets see how many?..... 8 Ringnecks 1 African Ringneck 1 Derbyan 3 Plumheads They are all housed in seperate cages which I think is better as they have their own space and then they come out and play together. I think having more than one is a lot of fun as they are so comical together. I ...

Mine will try just about anything and they like the plastic wiffle balls also. One of my girls will get mad at something and go down and throw her ball around the cage and then stomp after it. One of my boys likes to pick them up and drop them out of the door of the cage and watch them hit the floor...

Actually, my girls will flare their wings and pin their eyes and display for me. Indy, my oldest, is the only one that will really do, as I call it, "The Stevie Wonder". I have also had IRNs and my first was very hand shy and still is to some point - especially with strangers. Since you have just gotten your birds - I would say the first thing is to give them time to settle in and adjust. Don't try to force the issue. If you have a way to do it - have them where the...

They are all sooooo beautiful. What are the temperaments of the plumheads like? My plumheads are very shy little guys. They kind of hang out and will chatter when the others bother them. Mine don't play with a whole lot of toys, but they do have favorites. They will eat anything or at least try it....
