I agree on the spices, they will not hurt your bird. Of course lay low on the salt. Some parrot owners use Mrs. Dash to flavor their birds food, it has no salt. Some spices are very beneficial, cinnamon for example has important anti-oxidants. I add cinnamon to my birds sweet potato/oatmeal mash, th...

Hi Susan, and welcome. I'm new too. I've never owned a baby IRN, but I've always let mine have a few days to get adjusted before we start handling them. I think it's best to just sit near them, talk to them softly, let them know you aren't going to hurt them and can be trusted. They need to get used...

I haven't taken new pics in weeks. We just relocated and as soon as I get everything in place (or at least somewhat in place) I will take more. Just ordered more toys and made a few so that should get a few interesting pics. It also just occured to me that you guys have probably never seen any of my...

I had this same problem, only I couldn't post at all. Everytime I would click a link I would get the log on screen. Try to log in and get the same screen all over again. I had AOL, which I assume was the problem. I know have broadband, and haven't had any problems so far. Also, that remember passwor...

I once gave our IRN and Amazon a mirror for Christmas. Our ringneck Billy became so infatuated with that thing that he started to feed it. He made such a mess all over the cage that I just had to take it out. I think he was obsessing in an unhealthy way. I kinda felt bad, because he just thinks he i...

Hello everyone
Hi, I'm Amanda, married and have 3 children. I'm from PA, but the military just relocated us to GA, been here almost 3 weeks. We have a 12 yr old Indian ringneck and an 11 yr old African ringneck. Also, our IRN is bonded with a 29 yr old Amazon (don't blame me they were that way when we got them!) a...
