quiet IRN

Ok that last ringneck i had was loud. the one i have now (Enter) is quiet. i In the two months that I've had him I've only heard him chirp 5 or so times. my cockatiel is the loud mouth which i didn't expect especially since my last ringneck used to scream so loudly you can hear it form 60 meters awa...

Ok so the thing is as soon as a go near his cage to taking him out he just freaks out. i gave him a while to calm down, then as soon as i get him out he tries to fly away (wings are clipped). Anyway after wasting alot of energy is wasted he calms down and everything is fine. Is this normal (ie attac...

i probably didn't explain properly. s/he eats the food in the cage, thats not the problem. the problem is once it is outside it wont accept food you give it as a treat etc. however it will only accept said treat if its regurgitated. I've tried a bit of force but so far no luck.

Problem with my irn

hi, as far is i know my irn is around 3 months old. the problem is he doesnt eat from peoples hands. Every time i try he just lunges at my fingers, then knocks the food out of my hands. the thing is he will accept food if it is regurgitated but wont touch it if its not. Any suggestions to what im do...

Catching an IRN

Hi all, about 2 months ago my Ringneck flew away. I had searched a couple of blocks but couldn't find it. Since it had been a hwile i just gave up and brought another. Anyway, recently i have spotted him/her on a couple of occasions.

Anyway my question is is it possible to catch this bird?

thanks mikaela, usually as it steps up it flies up to my shoulder, and theres no turning back form there. i havent let it sit on my shoulder for 2 days, and i can see i big improvemtnt. it still tiries to fly up to my shoulder but i move my hand in order to make it hard to land there. the first day ...

Hi all, my bird is addicted to sitting on my shoulder. when i try to get it to step up to get off it stardss corwing and bites HARD! is it wrong to let it sit on my shoulder andany tips on haw to rectify this prob will be appreciated.

the bird spends 1-2 hours outside the cage each day , the rest are in the cage. the cage is left inside the house for half the day and outside for the other half. i keep it nest to my canaries and finches {in seperate cages). as for toys i have a swing and ladder in it.

i have taught it to step up but everytime i put it near its cage it jist flies away. If it would only go it that eazy. i dont really enjoy grabbing it as it makes me feel bad. getting it out is the eazy part, i just open the door and tell it 'out' and it does so before i know it

IRN problem

hi i have a IRN aged about 9 weeks and it refuses to go back in its cage after letting it out for a while. the only way to get it back in there is to grab it. anoybody have any suggestions to a solution?
