I took her to an avian vet about a month ago.. She advised me to change Sky's diet. I have done so. She doesn't seem to be plucking as much, but now and then she sqwaks when she pulls a feather out.. I dont know if Im just being too "rushy" to get the feathers growing or if they are really not growing back.. I dont know.
I have phoned the vet again.. They say that maybe we should send her for a skin biopsy. They want to charge me something ridiculous! R650!!!
On top of that, they want to put a collar on her - to me, I think thats just cruel
I just dont know what else to do.. Should I give it a little while longer and see if the feathers grow back?
What about the over preening of her feathers?
