Confused.com

Post by sanjays mummi »

Ok, so as you know, the jury is still out on Sanjays gender, at 4 yrs old, he still has no collar and tie, but there have been no eggs from him, and today I am even more puzzled, he was displaying "love heart" wings at me. When he wants a cuddle, his head goes back, his back is level but his tail is dipped, and he makes little noises. This was why I thought he may be a hen, but this "love heart wings", which he displayed more than once, has me utterly foxed.

I understand both that females can do the wings and that males can take an unusually long time to get that ring. Either state would be less common. Maybe you can get a test the next time he's have a vet visit. Maybe you can offer to take him shopping for handbags and see what he says. Maybe you can tell him you're lost and request he ask for directions and see what he says. :? Good luck!

I tend to call him/her "sweetie", my late husband favoured "wing nut".

We were lied to, AJ, told he/she was definitely DNA tested and Male, so we chose the name before he/she arrived, there was even a little missing feather from his/her chest. But "wing but" came after all the droll, silly little quirks started, leaving us in stitches of laughter. Sweetie is a name I adopted recently, to cover both bases.

Sweetie is fine for both male and female, my hen was called Bella but l thought that a bit of a red district name so Billie she became, she answers to Billie and "Hallo darling give us a kiss!"

Very red!
