how to get irn to step onto finger

We have just got a 3 month old ringneck and have had him for a week now. Hes fine getting up onto our hand if we are wearing a long sleeve sweat shirt and climbing to our shoulder. When we try with our exposed hand he either tries to bite or runs away we have sort of stopped the biting. I have tried tempting him with food and he has started to jump over the hand every now and then but then starts to run away again. Please help

I'd just feed him treats from my bare hand until he is confident approaching it. Don't expect results in a time frame. When he feels safe taking treats and will stay by the hand to eat them, he will probably be comfortable climbing onto a hand to reach the treats.
Remember that he should live a long time, so there's no need to rush now. That would be like buying a house together after the first date.
