Hey,
I have got a baby Indian Ringneck, JoJo who is now on his 6th week(born approx. on 1st week of March'2013). He is a very healthy little fella and a very vocal companion. He has also kinda learnt not to poop on me when he sits on my laps or when he plays with me( Very clever birdie) I have been hand-feeding JoJo from Week 3, four times a day and I have reduced the feedings to 3 per day as he is growing up. He easily eats around 30 ml/cc per feeding and he keeps on asking for more food. I am just wondering if its Time for us to wean him ?
I am an experienced Ringneck Owner, but I have zero experience on weaning a baby parrot. So, Can anyone of you help me with the Weaning process and the type of foods I have to introduce to him ? If I am introducing him new foods during the weaning stages, how should I balance it with the regular feedings. Also, do the feedings have to be greatly reduced to wean the baby ?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Sujith
