Thanks everyone for your help

Post by jeezusbeams »

Well i posted last week because i was worried about my ringneck plucking his feathers out, well he is, took him to the vet and vet said he is very healthy just bored or stressed. I did read the article about fordging for food and i have started doing that. Also bought him 200 dollars in toys he does not touchlol. Been hiding treats and wrapping food and hanging it from toys hopefully he will come around.

it takes time. Tango and Bravo wouldn't touch their play toys and foraging toys when it was first introduced but after 1½ months with it, they go crazy!

Just remember to make the hidden treats easy at first (have a bit sticking out so they know the treat is in there) and then progressively make it harder.

One of their faves is an old keyboard. They just rip the keys off and chew on it for awhile before removing another key. The soft rubber on the cord is another favourite but I'll have to make sure they don't get through to the metallic wires.
