My new babies
My Rainbow Lories have finally hatched their babies last night/this morning.
When I went to check on the eggs there were 2 little fluffy bundles
Here they are
This is her first ever clutch and I didn't really expect anything to come of the eggs, that and the cold weather we have been having lately.
But she did a good job.
Will take updated pics in a few days.

My babies are now 16 days old today and doing very well.
Mum is doing a great job and feeding them heaps.
I took these pics last week so will need to take a few more soon lol
They have lost most of the downy fluff and begining to get "big bird" feathers lol
I am surprised just how hardy these little guys are. The parents are hardly on the nest so they have to "toughen up" at such a young age. As usual, freezing temps here every day/night still.
Can't wait till Spring when it's warmer.

Another update pics of the Rainbow bubs.
I have been busy feeding them and haven't been around as much, but bubs come first.
Anyway here they are....
They were 3 weeks and 2 days old on Wednesday when the pics were taken.
See all the little feathers coming through and the blue rinse on their heads, reminds me of the little old ladies at the hair salon with their blue dyes in their hair lol
They have started to flap their little wings as if they are taking off lol. So cute to see
Can't see in these photos, but they have a few red feathers coming through on their chest.
More pics soon.
