Deep has nothing to do with Violet at all, the quick and nasty answer to you question is:

Deep x Deep = DF Deep (A very deep blue bird)

Cobalt x Cobalt + Mauve (An almost Grey looking bird)

The combination of Violet Blue and Cobalt = Violet Cobalt
