Life span of cockateils

Does anyone know what the life span of a cockateil is?
Also life span of a splendid?

I have been looking around for info on teils cos my little girl just got one, the life span is 15 to 20 years, this is what i have read

I've just got two breeding pairs that are sitting on eggs so I'm trying to find out any info at all I want to hand raise two chicks for my daughters.
Any help is much appreciated
