i took my irn out of the nesting log at day 10, and the next day his eyes were open, he is taking the food really well, and since i've had him inside, i've hardly heard a squeak out of him, wish i could say the same about the galahs i am handrearing, there is three of them, although they take the food well, all they do is wine the whole time. Ive had the ringneck chic out of the nest for four days now, and i can see how much bigger he looks then squeak. :)

Squeak is so fragile looking. I've never handfed anything so young, what an opportunty. ^_^

Galahs are pretty cool parrots. They're my favourite cockatoo.

How cute

Please keep him with the other chicks or provide a stuffed animal for him. Do not keep him alone. Babies at this age are with their mothers.

He/she looks really cute! I can't wait to handfeed my babies this year again!

Thanks for sharing and welcome! :D

Best Wishes,

Imran Chaudhry

P.S. You removed him at a perfect age! Make sure you keep his crop full during the day and empty during the night.

Squeek looks like a plucked chook. That's how I named my Chookie because I had never seen anything so bald and vulnerable and so ugly its gorgeous!. Don't you just want to cuddle them all day long?
