Hello from Parker in Yorkshire UK

Post by Parker »

Hello, my name is Andrew and I have just adopted a 2-3 Year old Indian Ringneck.

His name is Parker - we think he's a male. He's just in moult and was aquired just a few days ago from someone who'd had enough of him.

They had kept him in the house for a year and then kicked him out into a shed where he has really had no human contact.

He was quite agressive at first but now seems to have calmed down a little now he has longer human contact and got used to me.

I hope to bring him through the moult and nurse him back to good health again.

Great forum, I'm reading the great articles as I go and will probably have a few questions if I can't find them after searching.

Look forward to learning lots about this beautiful bird.

Andrew & Parker

Hi there Parker, welcome aboard.

Poor little bird. Makes you wonder why people keep pets if they have lost interest or don't want them any more :( .

Good on ya for rescuing her. (I agree with Bec if "he" is around the 3 years age) :D

Don't forget to post the before and after pics on Parker.
