Hi! Lovebirds were the first babies I ever handfed and I loved it. :D So wonderful to have your experience on this board! Do please tell us the mutations of your ringnecks. ^_^

Hi, thanks for the welcomes :)

Melika, i am expecting to get Blue, Grey, Silver, Skyblue, Pastelblue, Pastel Skyblue, Pastel Silver babies from the 13 eggs. Fingers crossed most of them hatch.

Lovebirds are great to handraise, i am handraising one at the moment, it is 6 weeks old now and almost weaned. Once they start flying they turn into little terrors

Welcome Jeremy!

I too am currently handraising a lovebird, one for myself this time as I usually raise all sorts of birds for my work. He is a ficshers and only 17days old ( I love itwhen they are little, ugliest, cutest things Ive ever seen) I have a question, when do they start vocalising? This little guy is very quiet.... with a ringneck in my house I am so not used to it! This is my first lovebird as so far this season I have been raising loads of lorikeets and they have been much noisier too.

How long haveyou been breeding ringnecks? Those colours sound amazing! I wish we could bring birds over here but... alas.... stupid bird flu! We can take our birds over to Oz but cant ever bring them back :(

How does silver differ from grey? and pastel silver? oooohhh sound so darn pretty!! Do you have any as pets?

Ill stop the interrogation now

Well, the Lovebird i am raising has been making his baby sounds since he was about 3-4 weeks old. He is now 6 weeks old and has just learnt how to whistle but i haven't heard him do the proper Lovebird call yet LOL it shouldn't be too long yet.

This is my second year of breeding Ringnecks.

Silvers (aka Grey Cinnamon) are bascially like a Grey but a lighter shade of Grey
The photo underneath is of a Silver Hen

Pastel Silver is just like the normal Silvers but with a Green wash over most of the body. I haven't got a pic of a Pastel Silver but the bird in my avatar and below is a Pastel Skyblue

What is SOCKS proxy server?
SOCKS is a networking proxy protocol that enables hosts on one side of a SOCKS server to gain full access to hosts on the other side of the SOCKS server without requiring direct IP-reachability. SOCKS is often used as a network firewall, redirecting connection requests from hosts on opposite sides of a SOCKS server. The SOCKS server authenticates and authorizes requests, establishes a proxy connection, and relays data between hosts.
