Egg laid 2day

OMG!!! im sooo exited i checked in their box
and there is an egg in it
i was sooo exited that i started dancing
i didnt think they would breed so early because its cold here
is it ok to put a fake egg in with it? or would she stop sitting
on her egg?

Iv heard that some female birds
can sit on thier eggs/chicks too heavly
and sqwash them

Oh ok.
I have never used fake eggs with my hens and I don't know of anyone who does use them.
Maybe there is someone on here that has used them or had that problem.
Good luck with the hatchings and hope there are a few more eggies to your collection.

Congratulations on your egg!!! Is this your first? They take 21--22days to hatch after the hen lays the last egg.Keep track of when she lays the eggs----an 3 weeks after the last one you should have bubbies.

Anywhere from 3 to 5 is the norm.Sometimes 6. My lutinos have 6 now (this is their first year) My first year breeding as well lol

Yes she could have more.Mine layed every second day for the first 3 eggs then 2 days between 3 and 4 then 0ne every second day till 6.Dont give up hope yet
