Hello,

I am getting myself ready to bring home 2 great Blue IRN's. I am looking for insight if anyone has had trouble with 1" spacing in their cages / avairies?

Also, for breeding purposes what nest / nesting box has been shown to be most useful?

Thanking everyone in advance for their sharing their experience.

Miguel

Sorry I can't help with the nestbox info, perhaps someone from the breeder board can help.

But I do wonder if 1'' is too large. Mine is 3/4 and I think any larger his head would be poking through which could end badly. Some places say up to 1'' so I really don't know!

thank you everyone :)

I ended up buying an aviary from www.cornerslimited.com. Now I am waiting for its arrival before picking up my IRN's.

I ordered a cage with one inch bar spacing and did not even unpack it.. one look at the bars when the cage arrived was enough to tell me that it was dangerous...it was an accident waiting to happen.

I ended up buying two of these cages for my two ringnecks... the bar spacing is half an inch...

This company was great they took the original cage back even though it had been shipped across country.... and I replaced it with two of the cages above which I'm very happy with...
