New Ringneck food to try

This is a follow up to my previous post, seeking advice about my IRN Peegee, who will not eat healthy foods.

I ordered a package of special food make just for ringnecks, called BirdyLicious. The website is: http://www.passiontreehouse.com/

This is different from all other foods I have seen. It is prepared fresh and shipped in a vaccuum sealed pouch. It contains at least 50 different ingredients (fruits, vegetables, seeds, grains, herbs) in a formula balanced for each bird species. It looks funny, but smells good.

PeeGee wouldn't touch it at first. It does not look like anything she is familiar with. Little by little I have been replacing her seed food with the new food. Now she has started eating it, and she really likes it.

Check out their website and read about this food. I think this is the solution to my problem (bird only wants to eat fattening non-nutritious seeds and starchy stuff, rejects veggies). I'd love to hear feedback from other owners who have tried BirdyLicious.

Peegee has been going "cold turkey" (or cold parrot), getting weaned off the seed food and being given only BirdyLicious, fresh fruit & vegetables.

She's starting to get desperate! today she climbed over to where the birdseed containers are, and tried to break in! She actually tried to tear open the containers! Then she found a bag of tortilla chips and tore it open, and ate some!

I've been on diets, so I know how she feels!

Just thought I'd share.................
