I am the new owner or slave to a 6mth IRN. I call him a boy - but not sure yet. I am after advice on everything

I have read through all the posts, and have got lots of ideas on what different foods I can give him, and flowers...He is avairy reared, so not hand friendly at all. How can I get him to not be scared of my hands - he hasn't had his wings clipped, which I think would be alot easier for all of us.
He makes the odd noises, which I haven't yet been able to work out what he wants, very high pitched squeak (like a dogs squeaky toy), a throaty noise (almost light a phone ringing), and a few little noises.....
I am a first time IRN owner, and don't want to muck this up.
Advice????

Hi donnas
Being an aviary bred bird it will be slow going to tame or quieten him but it can be done. Others here have proved that. If you do a little more searching here, you will see what people have done to help their birds become quieter over time, patience and time is the key. Don't try to rush things or you could loose the birds trust that has been built. Rewards, either food or toys, seem to work well.
Good luck with it all.
