Bar distance??

2 yrs ago I bought a VERY large parrot cage for a someday CAG.
I am rethinking about IRNs. Can anyone tell me the proper distance between bars or cage spaces. I will remeasure the cage and see if it might be appropriate or not. I am a stay at home mom and really want to add a feathered family member to our home. But I am STILL doing my homework, until I feel comfortable with knowing all I can. Ginnie
