Hi my name is Jay and I have 2 young IRN they are about 5 mts old 1 is green and the other is blue they are both well loved by the family. When we first got them they were very friendly and loved being handled but now they have started to bite and be quite aggressive. Im not really sure what to do. Our green will suffer being handled but blue wont even stay on your hand he will step up from the floor but then fly off. I am trying to continue to handled them but dam there bites hurt. any suggestions would be great.
thanks Jay

Welcome
I am no expert but it sounds like Bluffing
I am sure someone with more knowledge can tell you more as there are many on here, If it is Bluffing, have alot of patience and ignore it, as i have heard this stage can last from weeks to months, but will pass

It could be bluffing, but in any case my first advice would be to clip them. You can always let flight grow back later, but right now, clip them so you can socialise them with you, show them you are the boss, teach and train them.
Do not react to the bites, just push past them and make them step up, always be the boss, they do what you want them to when you want them to, but of course until you clip them this is impossible.
Always talk to them, coax and train them with treats. They will soon learn that you are in control, and you reward them for good behaviour, so the good behaviour will continue.
Good Luck and welcome to the family
