Ok for a few who have wanted and asked to see Shane on youtube, , well TD anyway lol  :P, I have uploaded 2 clips from a New Years Eve gig he did a couple of years ago.

We found the footage while looking through a few pics. :).

The "Devil went down to Georgia" I don't think is the whole song. His mum was videoing and I don't think she took it all lol

Shanes' version of "Don't be Cruel" & "Devil went down to Georgia"

"Devil went down to Georgia" is played on guitar instead of fiddle. :)

Hope you like them. :)

Thanks guys. :) Will pass on the comments....make his head swell. :P

I think he has a great voice to, even though that might be a biased thing to say lol. He has been in Starmaker top 10 in Tamworth in 1996. Played with Troy Cassar-Daley, played celebrity baseball with all the top country music singers while there, and while he was busking one day, Slim Dusty was walking by and stopped to watch him, he jumped up on stage and sung a song with Shane. Hmmmmm....maybe he wanted Shane to STOP singing instead!! lololol :P
When Troy had a gig here some time ago, he acknowledged Shane in front of everyone and told them they have a very talented singer in their own backyard. So that would have been a big high for him.

We have met Johnny Diesel, Bret Garsed, (guitarist from John Farnhams band) in the last 2 years.

Shane does mostly pub/club gigs now, so his music has moved in that direction as that is what the crowd wants to hear. :) Also the odd wedding or party gig.

He had a bad flu last winter that affected his singing. But he was fully booked out and kept singing through it. Now he thinks he has done some vocal damage. He is taking this month off and see if his throat improves. He still sounds good but not to the potential that he has sounded in the past. He has lost a bit of vocal range and can't reach the notes as easily. :?

Here is a link to a few of Shanes demos . There is also a song list of the songs he sings at his gigs.

lol Mjay, it depends on the requests as to if he does them or not.

TD, do you play/sing to or just like to listen?

I am definately just a listener, don't even sing in the shower!!!!

Bit like you Pink, I refuse to sing, tone deaf!!
Definitely a listener, a big fan of all music, particularly metal (but not that death metal garbage). You probably wouldn't find many headbanging birdlovers around, strange combination.
I keep meaning to learn guitar though.
Interesting, I have a friend who performs at similar gigs to Shane, his name is Dane Sharp, ask Shane if he's heard of him. I'm sure he also knows Troy.

I have never heard of Dane so did a quick google on him. :D

He sounds good. He is a QLD'er? That would explain his talent. :P :P  lol

haha yes, he is a Queenslander!!
He was actually a very good soccer player before he shattered his knee, he was about to try out in England.
He learned to play the guitar whilst recovering, and the rest is history!
Dane has his film clips on youtube if you haven’t seen them already. I recommend him to all country music fans!
Shane & Dane - maybe they could do a duet together with that name!!
