Hey everyone hows it going?

just wondering if anyone here knows much about feather mites?

i think my nibbler has them, he is in moult at the moment (and very cranky i mite add) and he has like black marks on his feathers, espescially his tail it almost looks like someone has gotten black shoe polish and smeared it on his tail.

also the edges of his feathers arnt smooth they look rough like instead of being curvey they are jutted... does that make sense?

he is the only on of my birds displaying this problem...

any ideas? thanks

Damn, Um make sure the perch's are not from outside unless you really washed them..Bring the bird to your local pet..bird store.

You should separate that bird for a few weeks, Even if the mites are gone by now.
