IRN breeding pair fighting with each other

Hello everyone,
I have been noticing for about a month now that my breeding pair are constantly pecking (fighting) and chasing each other around. I had them since spring of this year and they were always together. they even slept in the same nestbox during breeding season. I have place their nestbox back into their aviary with lots of hanging toys. I hope this will make them bond again. Is this normal behaivor before breeding season here in southern California?

I would seperate them for the time being. Or they aggression will continue. If you keep birds together you should have an emergency cage in case they fisht or get sick, you can seperate them.
