I was wondering how many years do IRNs live

Tuty (my parrot) is almost 9 years old but I wanted to know how long their lifespan is.

You are looking at 30 plus years, depending on how well he or she is taken care of. It is a longer committment than most marriages and unlike real kids, they dont grow up and walk out. Ack! Hey... just realized like a ton of bricks that this bird is replacing my son that is moving out in June.
Wow, this was in my head subconsciously... just hit me like a ton of bricks. I never knew why I bought her I just remember thinking "this baby will be with me 30 yrs! Where do I sign up. So, My baby bird is filling my unconscious 'empty nest syndrome', literally. Ok, I dont know if this is funny or sick. Maybe I'll up my sessions to twice a week hehe.
When you only have one baby... one boy and they leave home it hurts REALLY bad. I miss him already and he doesnt leave for college until next summer. Wish now I would have had a entire footaball team.
Kids, phft... who needs them! First they walk on your feet then they stomp on your heart!
