I have been given a pair of IRN's.

I breed cockateils and know little about IRN's

Neither bird looks very healthy. The male is a grey cinnamon pied, he has no tails feathers and quite a few broken wing feathers, he was kept in an avery with another male and the female that came with him. I think he has mutilated himself from stress and boredom.

My question is what do I do now, he could be a really nice looking bird with the right care. Should i get him vet checked?

Neither of the birds appear to be able to fly any ideas on why, their wings arnt clipped.

My plan is to improve their diet by adding plenty of friut and greens, to add somethings to the avairy to keep them entertained. At the moment they are sharing a reasonable sized avairy with my cockatiels. Would their condition inprove quicker if i moved them to a smaller cage.

As you can see I need help and any suggestions will help.

I would take them for a check up to make sure there isnt another reason for their feathers being bad
