Does she just prefer the calm life?

Hey there,
I just noticed that Bella (she's a second hand parrot, was abandoned) doesn't like it when my living room gets active, she mostly hates my 2 year old nephew, she already bit him twice and tries to charge at him when he passes by her cage... so does she simply hate him!?

try getting your nephew to give bella her favorite treats and try to encourage him to not run past her but encourage him to sit still and be calm near her. It does take some time for them to adjust to the little people that are running around the house, but mine have eventually adjusted to them, even my aviary birds will come up to the kids if they have food now.

my fid HATES kids. as soon as he see's them walk through the door he flips out. i think it might have started in the pet shop he was kept in for a month or so. if they run past him it makes him worse. i dont think my fid will get over it but yours might

Kids can be unpredicatable, especially 2 y.os. Birds like calm and they dont like to be startled. Cant exactly tell a 2 y.o to stay quiet and move slowly can ya?
I have a similar problem, but my 2 y.o is a 24 y.o boyfriend! He wonders why Lola doesnt like him and I tell him he needs to be calm and predictable around her, walk slowly, talk slowly and softly, dont yell... But sometimes I think its harder to train the boyfriend than the birds.
